The South Jersey Writers’ Group was incorporated as a non-profit entity in the state of New Jersey in 2012. The Board of Trustees is a working board, managing group business as well as programming.

Each Board Member, with the exception of the Secretary/Treasurer, is responsible for a committee of volunteers that helps to lead the group.

Amy Hollinger writes stories for children and young adults. She has served as co-editor of both South Jersey Writers’ Group anthologies, Tall Tales and Short Stories from South Jersey (2012, with Marie Gilbert), and Reading Glasses: Stories Through an Unpredictable Lens (2014, with Jessica Walsh). She served as the President of the South Jersey Writers’ Group when it originally incorporated in 2012, and has returned for a second term. Amy is a program coordinator and communications manager in Cherry Hill.

The President directs growth and development of the South Jersey Writers’ Group, exploring new avenues to position the group as a leader in the writing community. Serves as the contact point for every board member on board issues.Sets goals and objectives for the board and provides support so that these goals are met. Ensures that all board members are involved in committee activities; assigns committee chairs. Recruits leadership and volunteers so the SJWG can realize its fullest potential. Facilitates Board meetings and opens all member concerns, questions, and suggestions to the Board for discussion.

Susan L. Rosenbluth is the editor of The Jewish Voice and Opinion, a monthly news magazine, and its website, TheJewishVoiceAndOpinion.com. She is a member of the American Jewish Press Association, the Association of Orthodox Jews in Communications, and the NJ Press Association, and her work—reportage and fiction—has been published in newspapers and magazines across the United States and in Israel. She’s been honored by The National Council of Young Israel, The Zionist Organization of America, the Jewish Action Alliance, and Arutz Sheva, Israel’s Channel 7. She speaks regularly for Jewish, Christian, and secular audiences and has been a guest on numerous radio and television programs. A graduate of New York University with an undergraduate degree in Comparative Literature and a master’s in Education, she is married to Dr. Richard Rosenbluth. They have three married children and 13 grandchildren.

The Vice President of the SJWG serves as the Director of Programming and chair of the Programming Committee. Coordinates booking speakers for each third Thursday meeting; ensures that MOAs and payments are sent. Oversees additional programming and meetings for the group, including critique, craft discussions, public events, etc. Works with the Programming Committee to schedule events in line with the group’s existing calendar, and to grow SJWG offerings. Coaches event organizers and recruits new ideas and hosts for meetings. Coordinates meeting recordings and archives with Director of Content & Community, and Meeting Archivist. Fills in for the President/Board Chair for Board of Directors meetings if the Chair is unable to attend.

The Secretary/Treasurer acts as recording secretary and legal record keeper of the South Jersey Writers’ Group. As Secretary, records minutes at Board meetings, and sends to the Board to review, as well as works with the president to archive official Board resolutions and update the SJWG Bylaws. As Treasurer, they are also responsible for sending payments on behalf of the group, filing the annual tax report, maintaining financial records, and recording/reporting on the budget.

The Director of Communications oversees the website, posts and information about the group. Ensures that all group business, events, works, and news are provided to the website. oversees the sharing of SJWG content across various social media platforms. Works with the Director of Communications to chair the Communications Committee and coordinate social media volunteers. Oversees the Newsletter Editor and submissions to the SJWG blog. Oversees social media comments and responses along with a group of volunteers. Helps coordinate group livestreams and oversees meeting recordings and videos. Designs new and innovative strategies for communications outreach and building the South Jersey writing community.

Eden Mabee

Eden Mabee writes mixed genre stories that integrate space opera, high fantasy and cozy mystery elements. A former early childhood education teacher, and secretary for the Capital Region Romance Writers of the RWA, she presently hosts the A Round of Words in 80 Days writing challenge and indulges in her passion as a lifelong learner and volunteer.

The Director of Membership and Outreach serves as the primary internal champion for SJWG members. They are the first point of contact for membership questions, resources and promotion of member publications, events, and successes. For Outreach, the Director of Membership oversees the group’s presence at the Collingswood Book Festival, and coordinates occasional social events.
