Panel discussion style presentation on The Business of Writing – From Idea to Contract

Panel discussion on the business of writing featuring Anne Dubuisson and Kathleen Volk Miller. Both women will share insights into how to get your writing ready to be noticed.

Anne Dubuisson is a former literary agent who has used her well-honed skills and instincts to guide writers to achieve their writing and publishing goals. She will talk about the life cycle of a novel from idea to sale, sharing insight on everything to finding your voice, an agent and negotiating the right deal.

Kathleen Volk MIller is an essayist and professor at Drexel University’s Graduate Program in Publishing. She is co-editor of The Painted Bride Quarterly and co-host of PBQ’s Slush Pile. She will share her insights on publishing short stories, essays and literary magazines.

There will be a short Q&A following the panel.
